The STORY
After working with Samuel Kyei, a native of Ghana for over eighteen years the President/CEO of Seacrest, Richard Keith Fowler decided to give something to the native country of his dedicated employee. This led to his first visit to Ghana with both Mr. Kyei and his son, Bryant Fowler, to ascertain the needs of the community of Dajanso. After visiting the area he became more convinced of the needs of the people and decided to assist in any way possible. The first project he has sponsored is the construction of a water storage tank and a distribution system for the people of Dajanso , a community of over two thousand people. Dajanso is located in the Ashanti region of Ghana. Most of the people here are farmers. So far Richard has contributed immensely to this project.
FODERCOM believes that education is the bedrock of every development program in any society, and therefore intends to institute comprehensive skill development programs for the orphans and the destitute in areas of education, health and fund raising
Education: FODERCOM intends to construct schools and offer free education program for orphans and destitute in the Triad community. We shall offer computer literacy programs for these children as well as counseling and leadership training programs to enhance total development of these children.
Health: We plan to embark on comprehensive health development projects and programs for the community by focusing on the health needs of our target group of children. Consequently, FODERCOM will make available to the children health facilities and services, and also establish training schemes for health workers and publicize vital health information to community members.
Funding: FODERCOM is presently being funded by contributions from its members and well wishers in order to meet our goals. We solicit financial and material assistance from individuals, organizations and institutions, including the UN, governments, and churches all over the world. This gesture greatly supports our mission to bring development to orphaned and destitute in the communities.
Our next targeted project is the building of a HOSPITAL and general health services.
