AIM, GOAL & OBJECTIVES
  1. To promote and improve reproductive health of the youth. (Special attention on AIDS).
    Sustainable improvement in health and well being of communities through access to portable water, appropriate facilities, and adopting good hygiene and management practices.
  2. communities have the appropriate knowledge, skills and facilities in an environmentally sustainable manner. To help improve health, infrastructure and other services.
  3. To build the capacity of women and create an enabling environment for women to deal with problems that affect their lives.
  4. To develop the appropriate manpower, knowledge, skills and infrastructure that will make education attractive and sustainable.
  5. To provide facilities for the training of the poor and destitutes to enable them earn a decent living.

OUR STRATEGY

FODERCOM will provide information, training or capacity building, education and advocacy to the youth policy makers and any appropriate institutions based at the community level, and where appropriate collaborating with Government Departments and Agencies as well as other Non-Government Organizations(NGOs).

  • Fundraising both locally and internationally to support its operations.
  • Capacity building for wealth creation to improve the living standards of people in rural communities.
  • Create a Platform for discussing policies and programmes affecting the development of rural communities.
  • Undertake educational programmes and campaigns to raise awareness levels on various developmental issues of elevance to the communities.
  • Sponsor staff to attend local and international seminars or conferences of relevance to the work of FODERCOM.
  • Provide educational facilities e.g. tables, chairs, libraries etc to needy and deprived schools in rural communities.
  • Adopt a gender-based approach, which means recognizing the differences in roles, responsibilities and needs of both men and women and take them into account in the design and management of interventions.
  • Provide scholarships, bursaries and /or sponsorships to needy but brilliant students in the communities.
